Glorian Mae Norton passed away on September 4, 2017 at the age of 87. She was born on July 31, 1930 in Muskegon, MI to Ralph and Ruby (Uber) Miller. Glorian was a beautiful presence in the world and will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, selflessness and determination. She was our family rock and one of those special people who refused to let what she couldn't do keep her from doing what she could do. It brought her great joy to help others and she was always a willing caregiver. She worked as a Pharmacy Tech at Meijer for 21 years. After retirement, she and her husband, Dale, spent many fun years wintering in Naples until health issues kept them closer to home. She enjoyed playing cards, was an avid Tigers fan and always had a pot of coffee on to welcome family and friends who stopped by. She was predeceased by her siblings, Leroy and Gary Miller and Bonnie Coats, children, Darlene Kubicek, Diana Tiggelman and Daniel Aker, and great-granddaughter Sydney Timmer. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Dale; children Dennise (Bruce) Yonkers, Susan (David) Hodson, Kelly (Gina) Norton, Susie (Mike) Kotecki, Bruce (Rachel) Norton, Julie (Rob) Lewis; 24 grand children and many loved great-grand and great-great grand children, nieces, nephews and friends, including her special furry friends, Teddy and Buddy. The family would like to thank the staff at Sanctuary at the Park - who mom called her angels. Their kindness and loving care was a blessing to mom and our family in the final weeks of her life this side of heaven. A celebration of Glorian's life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 11:00 am at Ever Rest Funeral Home and Chapel in Muskegon. The family will greet visitors one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
